I had JD Thomas install one of his muzzle breaks on my 308, the break worked as I had expected. But what really impressed me was the quality of the fit and finish, it was really difficult to tell that the break had been threaded onto my parkerized barrel. Also JD parked the muzzle break so well that it was almost a complete match for my barrel. This past year, I had the opportunity to buy a barreled action already trued by JD, I had him install one of Boots Obermeyers 6.5 barrels on the action and chamber it in 260 Rem. JD bedded the action and adjusted the X-Mark pro trigger, removing any creep, resulting in it breaking like glass. I took that rifle and with a starting load suggested by JD, and zeroed it on the way to one of our local matches. Iit was a testimonial to the rifle when the match director mentioned that I was shooting well that weekend, not to shabby when you have a guessimated dope and are hitting targets at 950+. I had JD true the action and rebarrel my old 308 in 260 Rem, again with an Obermeyer barrel for Carl Taylors match this year. Again the results were outstanding, the chamber dimensions on both rifles are exactly the same as I had asked, JD called me several times, seeking my input, he built the rifle as I had requested. JD builds quality rifles, if you are looking for a new custom rifle or are looking for some quality rifle smithing done on your rifle, don't hesitate to call him,he has a wealth of experience and backs it up with quality workmanship.
